This bed is now an older version of the Hill Rom P7500 Progressa bed which is a newer and more reliable version of the TotalCare Sport 2. The P1900 TotalCare bed stopped production in 2015 and had a lot of hydraulics which cause a lot of service issues. The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport bed is one of the most popular

Refurbished is the work done in a hospital to keep equipment up to code.
Twice a year these beds need to be removed from service and must
be inspected for rust, broken or worn parts and thoroughly cleaned.
This process includes cleaning, sanding and painting any rust, electric testing
and going through a manufacture checklist to make sure everything is in
good working order. Once this process is completed the bed is ready for
hospital use. Warranty on refurbished beds vary depending on the model
and the price of the bed. Sometimes it is better to get the bed at a lower
price and pay for repairs than to buy a warranty that may not be used.

Reconditioned is also referred to as “re-manufactured”  which includes
taking the bed apart down to the frame and then repainting the frame of
the bed and then re-assembling the bed the brand new parts. This is done
ins a factory setting and restores the bed to new condition. This also
includes a full 1 year warranty for the bed.
